The Jeremiah29Eleven Project

Because You are His Project!

Young people face challenges every day! In school and on the streets, through television and the media our young adults face a barrage of negative influences that is shaping a worldview increasingly hostile to faith. Our plan for our youth is to challenge them to live for Christ, and to make a difference in their community.
Our youth ministry’s theme is borrowed from Jeremiah 29:11 which states:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

We believe  God does indeed have a “plan” for the lives of His children, and the best time to explore His plan, is during the developmental years of youth. The Apostle Paul said to Timothy: “
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.”
Four things you can takeaway from this passage:
  1. You will only be this age once
  2. Youth is a good opportunity to live out your faith
  3. Develop a healthy appreciation for scriptural counsel
  4. Nurture and use your latent gifts and abilities
