  1. Developing purposeful relationships with Christ and each other.
  2. Creating opportunities to share the Word, connect weekly, and serve.

Unpack it!

  1. Grace Growth Groups will run for periods of 10 -12 weeks.
  2. Groups will meet in homes, via Skype, church or other suitable location.
  3. Facilitators will build their groups of 7-10 attendees.

ENGAGE – An acronym of the first letters of the words: Edify, Nurture, Grow, Assimilate, Go, Expand

  1. EDIFY: Instructing and uplifting each other through scripture and spiritual disciplines. “Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.” (Rom.14:19)
  2. NURTURE: Caring for and encouraging the spiritual growth of others. “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” (Jude20-21)
  3. GROW: Being intentional in developing oneself in the Christian faith. “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” (Col.2:6-7).
  4. ASSIMILATE: Finding our place in the ministry that God has called me to. “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all…”(1 Cor.12:7).
  5. GO: Fulfilling the Great Commission. “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent?” (Rom.10:14-15)
  6. EXPAND: Going beyond the walls of our building. “Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings…For you shall expand to the right and to the left…” (Isa.54:2b & 3a).


  1. Facilitator led – each group will have a facilitator, responsible for setting up the meeting, making sure that lessons are available and leading discussions
  2. Open discussions – must be controlled by the facilitator and kept on point to the greatest degree possible.
  3. Each meeting will have segments titled: Talk It! See It! Live it! Talk It – Attendees will have a chance to participate in group activities and discussions. Read it – Attendees will search the scriptures and read together Live it – At the end of each meeting, attendees will be challenged to live out the lessons learned to report at the next meeting
  4. Prayer Session – Facilitators will encourage participants to engage in prayer for needs at the close of each meeting

  1. CARE – Being there for each other – Encouraging each other – Coming alongside one another
  2. SAFETY – Creating a “come as you are” culture – Feeling safe to be oneself – Accepting each other unconditionally
  3. AUTHENTICITY – Being ‘real’ with each other – Taking relational risks with one another.
  4. GROWTH – Hebrews 10:24 – Spurring one another on – Pushing each other to take growth steps – Naming areas where growth needs to happen
  5. HELP – Providing resources others may need – Can be practical: helping move, babysitting, preparing a meal etc. – It’s also about asking for help when its needed
